Plymouth Students Learn Outdoors in New Classroom
There are no desks, blackboards, or walls in Plymouth Public School’s newest classroom, but it is those unique features that make the classroom an ideal learning spot.
Developed with the support of the school’s dedicated community partners, the outdoor classroom allows students to read, work and reflect in a beautiful, natural setting.
“Our students are really enjoying their new facilities,” says Carl Glauser, Plymouth Principal. “This innovative new classroom has certainly inspired more students to read and become engaged in their class work. Even during fitness breaks, it is quite common to see students take their favourite book over to the outdoor classroom and spend time reading.”
