The support that the Education Foundation of Niagara is able to provide to the District School Board of Niagara students greatly depends on the the support EFN receives from the community.

 Download the Donation Form Here. OR  Donate on-line through CanadaHelps.org, a recognized supporter and administrator of charitable donations Canada-wide.  They charge a 3% fee for their services.

EDUCATION FOUNDATION OF NIAGARA DONORS AND BENEFITS

The Education Foundation of Niagara has several recognition programs that help raise the funds needed for Program Enhancement Grant Disbursements, Poverty and Emergency Relief Fund, Student Achievement Awards, administration costs and the sustainability fund. Donations are typically unrestricted, in which case the Foundation will use the contribution where it is most needed. Restricted donations can be made to a campaign, a municipality, a program or a school.

The Foundation accepts donations in a variety of methods, depending on the wishes of the donor:

Program Grant Donors

Program Grant Donors are individuals, companies, schools or organizations that contribute to part of the cost of the Program Enhancement Grants to schools for innovative programming that is not part of Ministry funding.

Friends of the Foundation

Annual Donation of $30.00 and lifetime donations are accepted.  100% of these funds are dedicated to operational needs that support the foundation and allow EFN to carry on the good work!  See Current Friends of the Foundation   

Poverty and Emergency Relief (Make Change Donors)

Make Change Donors are individuals, companies, schools or organizations that restrict their donation to the Poverty and Emergency Relief Fund where bursaries are made to students at maximum level of $100.00 to mitigate and relieve circumstances of poverty and greatest need. Make Change Donors benefit from all donor recognition programs, depending on the level of giving and are also represented in all Make Change For Children Campaign information and communications.  

Donors Choose Niagara

This is a forum created to match school projects with donors Niagara Public Schools, enabling them to showcase their projects online and then to direct potential corporate and community financial support to subsidize project expenses.  Teachers and principals know their students’ needs best. We are here to provide a forum for schools to easily fundraise for the specific materials their student programs may require. Click here to learn more.   

Scholars Donor

Scholar Donors, where donations are a minimum of $200 to a maximum of $4600 and direct the funds to the Student Achievement Awards that are allocated to one student in 23 Secondary Schools to support the desire to advance to post-secondary education (college, certification or apprenticeship). 

Planned Giving and School Endowment Trusts

Planned gifts are generally commitments made in the present with the benefit to public education in Niagara for the future.  Gifts may be held as annual declining, where yearly a portion of your gift is designated to support until the capital is depleted OR held in perpetuity through endowments and trust funds.  

The Woodend Living Campus

The District School Board of Niagara is committed to student success by working together to inspire, empower and support all learners to achieve their full potential. In keeping with this vision, we are embarking on an exciting new initiative for which we need the support of the community and local businesses: The Woodend Living Campus!
