The District School Board of Niagara runs two Communication Classes in a congregated setting which are made up of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. We currently have one class for primary students and a new class for junior students. Autism is a developmental disability that can affect individuals in the areas of communication, social interaction, and sensory ability. The students require some of their activities to be adapted to meet their individual needs. The classes provide some integration opportunities, a swimming program and various other related field trips.
