Business and Computer Teachers:

Mr. M. Lapointe (Head):
Having taught and trained thousands of adults and professionals, Mr. Lapointe is now teaching adolescents! As a professional corporate trainer, he knows what skills employers are looking for and is looking forward to sharing his knowledge. He's created a video library of lessons which are now available to all students and teachers of the DSBN at all times. In doing so he has also created the structure for an entire digital Library of Resources for all business course offered in the DSBN. Students will have access to a steadily increasing amount of resources, in various formats.

Computers will be used extensively within our department to deliver cutting edge curriculum to prepare students for the world of business.

He graduated from the University of Ottawa with a Bachelor of Commerce Honours degree and went on to work for corporations such as
Sun Media and Cogeco.

"I look forward to sharing everything I've learned, from my days in University to the latest innovations in business software. I feel that my continued connection with the business world will help students understand what to expect when they get out there."

He will be teaching all  Computer Applications for Business courses for grade 9 and grade 11 in 2009-2010.
