Vocal Ensemble
This singing group, under the direction of Mr. Braun and Mrs. Neufeld, provides an excellent opportunity for students to gain valuable vocal training and experience. The ensemble sings a variety of choral music, including pop and jazz arrangements, as well as traditional repertoire. Participating in this group also gives students experience and confidence to prepare them for participation in school musicals. This group rehearses regularly on Wednesday from 2:35 - 4:00 p.m. Beginners are welcome.


Cats Band
This combo provides an excellent opportunity for keyboard players, guitarists, horn players, and vocalists to perform contemporary repertoire in the pop, jazz, and blues genre. This group rehearses on Tuesday after school and admission is by audition. The band leader is Mr. DiMartile.


Concert Band
This band provides an exciting opportunity for woodwind, brass, and percussion players with a minimum of one-year experience, and is open to any Centennial student. Repertoire is chosen from a wide variety of genre, including pop, show tunes, movie themes, as well as traditional band and festival repertoire. The band rehearses regularly on Thursday from 2:35 - 4:00 p.m. The band is under the direction of Mr. Braun and Mr. DiMartile.


Scholarships

  • Peppy Nunziato Memorial Scholarship
    Presented to a deserving student proceeding to post-secondary studies who has achieved academically and musically.


     

  • Welland Centennial Drama Scholarship
    Presented to a deserving student proceeding to post-secondary studies in drama or a related field.

     
  • Welland Little Theatre Players Scholarship
    Graduating student who has been accepted into a post-secondary performing arts program and who had participated in some aspect of performing arts during their years at Centennial.

     

  • Cinefest Niagara Award
    Pursuing studies in film, theatre, art.
