Cross Graded Primary Literacy Groups

At Central School we strive to provide the best program for all of our students. For our students in grades 1, 2 and 3, guided reading instruction is provided at each child’s level. During the first 30 minutes of the 100 minute literacy block, our students are grouped according to their individual level for instruction. Students may be working with another teacher during this time as we have included the learning resource teacher and the vice principal in this program. We are pleased that this program provides and opportunity to better meet the literacy needs of our students.
