That's when Eastdale Secondary School played host to the second annual Eastdale Feeder School Basketball Tournament. Players from 10 teams got a chance to try out the school's new gym floor and score clock – and then imagine what life will be like when they make the move up to high school next year or the year after.

Eagles short on wins, big on potential Welland Tribune Feb. 3/10 WELLAND — From far away, a basketball resembles a crystal ball to Eastdale coach Rob Desson.
While Wednesday's 61-36 loss to visiting St. Michael dropped the Eagles to 0-7 in senior boys single A league play, Desson chose to focus on the young team's potential rather than solely on its present following the loss to the double A Mustangs.
With only Lucas Albano and Alex Ceci graduating from a close-knit crew that is coming together on - and off - the court, Desson is confident that the Eagles will get better with experience.
