Basketball

Senior Girls Basketball

This year's team is a young team who features a very young backcourt. With three grade 10s starting many games this year the future is very bright for this team. This team made zone champions and SOSSA Finalists

Senior Boys Basketball

After a difficult start in the first half of the season, playing three tournaments with less than a complete squad, the Senior Redcoats bounced back after Christmas with a 16 and 2 record capturing the Zone IV "AAA" Championships. Simcoe also won two tournaments at this time and lost a close game to Notre Dame in the Welland Tribune finals, a game featured on TV Cogeco. In the play-offs, simcoe defeated Grimsby and Holy Cross in Zone play, and Hamilton Glendale at SOSSa before ending their season with a loss to Orchard Park in the SOSSA finals. We are sad to see graduating seniors Jay Fast and Carlos Williams leave our program after five terrific years of Simcoe Basketball. Good luck in your future guys.

Junior Girls Basketball

There were a lot of new grade 9 players with little or no basketball experience. The team got off to a slow start but because of their dedication and hard work they steadily improved. The team finished 3rd overall in the regular season and were defeated by the eventual zone champions in the semi-finals of the playoffs
