Here at Governor Simcoe, Girls Field Hockey is a lot different than at other schools. Instead of just one team, we have two; one Varsity, and the other Novice. Although the novice is not as competitive, the girls this year have done better than any other year. They worked together and managed to create a solid team.

The girls varsity field hockey team advanced very far, all the way to SOSSA. Governor Simcoe Secondary School's team only lost one game this season to the strong Beamsville team. They advanced to SOSSA where they played their best but unfortunately were defeated. Coach Morrison stated, " the girls played an amazing season, despite the weather. They played hard and worked well as a team."

Simcoe Girls are extremely excited to play together next season, and will hopefully play just as well or better than this 2006 season. The girls would like to thank Coach Morrison, Coach Bainbridge, and Coach Tilly for all of their help.
