Held in a 16-Keyboard Lab, each student has his/her own headphones so that all can play and practice at the same time. The good and enjoyable music is accompanied by MIDI music tracks. Students can pair up or even form Keyboard quartets as they learn how to be part of an ensemble. There is opportunity for students to learn popular theme songs like "Batman" and "Star Wars" as well as radio songs from bands like "ColdPlay" and "Simple Plan". Music Theory helps everyone develop a deep understanding of the music they are performing.
We pick up where we left off at the end of Grade 10 class... students learn more and more advance repertoire and even move into the keyboard "classics" like Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata", as well as an opportunity to create your own music. This class is also open to those students who already have piano experience, and do not need to take Grade 10 Keyboarding.
These Senior-level vocal courses offer students who love to perform, the chance to further develop their musical skills through performance of solo repertoire as well as small-ensemble pieces. The class becomes totally responsible for learning their pieces and performing them expressively. There is also a song-writing and recording component using the MAC studio. Motivated musicians will truly enjoy the challenge of these courses.

"Hands On" activities include learning how to set up and operate Sound Reinforcement Systems as well as creating your own soundtracks, make this course enjoyable for all students, at all levels of experience.
