Robotics in Atlanta

On April 14th, the Governor Simcoe robotics team competed in the International FIRST robotics competition in Atlanta, Georgia.

Five years in the making, GSS robotics, "Simbotics" has put enough blood, sweat, and tears into their team, as any other team twice their age, and it shows. Simbotics has won an unprecedented 7 regional championships since their rookie year in 2003, competing, and winning, in competitions in Pittsburgh, Long Island, Ypsilianti (Michigan), Toronto, and Waterloo.

Every year, the Simbots have stepped their game up a notch in Atlanta, and this year was no different. Simbotics finished 3rd in their division in the qualifiers, and made it to the divisional semi-finals.

Now that the season's over, Simbotics will continue their intensity and commitment with new designs, continued learning, and having fun. Congratulations Simbotics!
