The walk is May 28th from period 3 to 2:30

Money is due by May 26th

The reason for the walk is to raise money for the Stephen Lewis Foundation which is an organization that supports people living with AIDS in Africa.

They provide funding for education, food, care, and medicne, as well as educating people about AIDS and how to prevent it.

There are 28 million people living with AIDS in Africa & 14 million children orphaned by AIDS

Each student must raise a minimum of $15 to participate in the walk ($20 if the money comes in after the 26th)

After the walk there is a BBQ, music, a DJ, fun stuff!

There are great prizes to be won including ipod nanos & itunes gift cards

The first year we raised over $15 000

The second year we raised over $9000

This year our goal is for each student to raise $50 (that will be almost $50 000 for the Stephen Lewis Foundation)
