Welcome to Jordan Public School!

  • promote learning activities which will help the overall growth of each student
  • develop a sense of self-worth, responsibility and respect
  • encourage our students to believe in themselves and in their ability to achieve their dreams

Life at Jordan Public School
Each class at Jordan Public School visits the computer lab at least two times a cycle. The skills that are being taught supplement the Ontario Curriculum as well as the newly developed Computer Competencies Table. Our intermediate students are involved in Choices Into Action which focuses on learning to plan in grade seven and preparing for secondary school in grade eight. They also attend Grimsby Secondary School one afternoon per cycle for Choices & Changes and Design & Technology.

Special Needs
Several students receive intensive support in the form of the Intensive Support Program, educational assistants and the learning resource teacher.

Alternate Programs
A number of Jordan students participate in the part time gifted program at Lakeview Public School. A growing instrumental music program is offered weekly at Jordan Public School.
