About Jordan Public School

Jordan is a J/K to Grade 8 school and the only public school in Jordan. Located in a rural setting, the school lies adjacent to the town and beside the grape orchards of this rich agricultural area.

The present Jordan Public School was built in 1947. It opened it’s doors in September 1948 with two classrooms in operation.

A 50th Anniversary Reunion was held at Jordan school in June, 1999. Over 200 former staff and students attended to celebrate and reunite with old friends and colleagues.

While most parents in the community are English speaking and born in Canada, the community reflects many cultural heritages.

Jordan Public School enjoys a wonderful relationship with the School Council. Parent committees include fundraising, anti-bullying, and graduation. We invite all those who are interested to become involved and help support the education of their Children.
