Student Leadership Team

Our Student Leadership Team meets every Monday at lunch to plan community, charity, fundraising and school spirit events for our students. We are made up of two elected representatives from each homeroom class from Grades 4 through 8 and a few Members at Large. We organize a monthly Spirit Day and a monthly Sundae Day. On Spirit Days, Lakeview Students are asked to dress up to show their school spirit. On Sundae Days, sundaes are available at lunch to all students for $1.00 each. We support a number of local charities throughout the year as well. In September we participate in the Grimsby Schools Terry Fox Walk. Each December we organize a canned goods drive to support the Grimsby Benevolent Fund. Every spring, we support the West Lincoln Memorial Hospital by collecting donations from all students for their Penny Wishes Campaign. The kick off for the Penny Wishes donation is our annual Arts Café and Talent Show in April. Throughout the year we host three dances for intermediate students (at Halloween, Christmas and before March Break) and sell Candy Grams at Halloween, Christmas and Valentine’s Day. We also look forward every year to running the Lakeview Play Day for Grade 1-6 students in June.
