“ARCHAEOLOGY AT WILLOWBANK”
On Thursday, September 25, the Grade 11 History Class rolled up their sleeves and participated in an archaeological workshop, tour and dig at the Willowbank Estate in Queenston.
Students have been introduced to archaeology in the classroom, but the theoretical nature of those activities lacked the excitement and reality that an actual archaeological dig can present. The excellent staff led the students in digging, washing and identification activities, as well as an interesting historical tour of the over 150 year old Estate.
