Rotary makes donation towards NDSS sports Niagara-on-the-Lake Sep 26, 2008
Niagara District Secondary School's new ball hockey team will now have matching shirts to wear thanks to a $500 donation by the Rotary Club of Niagara-on-the-Lake/Lewiston.
The team, part of Ball Hockey International's Niagara branch, is the only one of its kind in District School Board of Niagara.
The new uniforms will feature the NDSS Trojans logo on the front and the Rotary Club logo and player number on the back, said student council president Billy Morrison.
"The jerseys are on order and we will be wearing them within a week," Morrison said. "The team has already played a few games and we've won a few. We felt naked without the jerseys but once we have them, we will look official."
Rotary Club member Teresa Bell said the club is more than happy to help and contribute to the thriving success of NDSS. Bell said the donation covers the cost of printing for the jerseys.
