School Council

Mission Statement

The Advisory council will encourage a positive environment at Parliament Oak School by guiding, coaching and advising based on the following core values:

  1. High academic standards and quality education.
  2. High level of commitment and enthusiasm towards the school (family involvement/participation)
  3. Effective communication of school culture to parents, teachers, students, (parent/school connection).
  4. Strong social responsibility/relationship with the community.

Our Objectives

The Parliament Oak School Advisory Council believes successful education requires co-operative partnership between the school, the home and surrounding community.

The Council believes that effective relationships between the education system and the school community are promoted through consultation, collaboration and strong communication programmes.

The Council believes that relationships between Parliament Oak School and its school community will be strengthened through the establishment and effective operation of this Council, serving to improve student learning and school effectiveness.

Parliament Oak School Advisory Council meets on the last Tuesday of the month at 7.00pm in the school library. Child Care is provided in the JK/SK Class in Room 6.
