Native Club recognizes and supports aboriginal youth and the families in the Port Colborne/Wainfleet area. This is the largest and oldest assembly of First Nations students in the District School Board of Niagara. Students actively strive to build positive friendships; commit to success in in-school initiatives; strengthen youth/mentor networks; share concerns to a caring collection of elders and ultimately forge a strong, positive community of tomorrow’s leaders. Through "better-together," students look out for one another and help keep them on the right path or in the circle.

Native students participate in regional and area-wide youth pow-wows; sharing circles; a lunchtime native homework club, and meet friends Wednesdays and Fridays at lunch to share questions, concerns , and most often, good fellowship. The Port Colborne High School Native Club has been in existence since 2004. It is supported by the Fort Erie Native Friendship Centre (FENFC), the Niagara Regional Native Centre and the Niagara Peninsula Area Aboriginal Management Board (NPAAMB). Students have interacted with regional and provincial aboriginal youth through programs supported by the Government of Canada. Students have opportunities throughout the year to participate in a variety of outside programs for First Nations students such as the Lieutenant Governor’s Aboriginal Literacy Camps, NPAAMB’s art/behaviour and ‘boot-camps’ for boys; and an archaeological dig for academic credit. Native Club is both for students who self-identify as First Nations students and friends of the aboriginal community. Everyone is welcome to visit and attend.
