History Club PDF Print E-mail

The History club was started in 1969 by George Huber, a former PCHS teacher. The goal of the History club has always been to provide students of all socio-economic backgrounds with exposure to historical, cultural, and recreational experiences throughout North America.

The PCHS History club goes on a trip during the May long weekend each year to places such as: Virginia, Montreal, Boston, Toronto, and Ottawa. In addition they often go on smaller day trips throughout the school year. The club fundraises to help subsidize the cost of their trips. They often cater food for local organizations for many of their fundraisers. These trips often cost around $500 a person, but through fundraising the cost to each student is approximatly $200 plus the cost of food.

2008/2009 History Club members:
Abbie Minor, Kaitlyn Richardson, Chase King, Meggean Coulombe, Tania-Marie Robyn, Gillian Nigh, Calvin Burger, Nicholas Smith, Brigit Hanti, Lindsay Costello.

The History club meets at lunchtime throughout the school year, as well as caters throughout the month of December. To join the History club please see Mrs. Carl in room 210 to get your name put the waiting list.
