The swim team at Port High is open to anyone from any grade and gender. Swim team will allow students to learn and improve their swimming skills and compete with other schools.  Event Categories consist of: Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke, and the Butterfly.   The season starts Sept. and lasts until December.

The team goes into several meets that prepare them for Zone. These meets all take place at Brock University.

Swim Meet Nov 19 2009
Port High’s Blue Bear’s Swim Team once again made their presence known at the Brock Zone 3 and 4 Meet. Despite our small numbers PCHS still walked away with a number first place standings. Haley Morrison earned a first in 50m breast stroke, fourth in back and eighth in 50 free. Michelle Gecan earned a first in 100 free and 50 back and a second in her 50 fly. Allison Benson earned a third in her 50 free heat Chris Richert recorded personal bests in his 50 free, 100 free and 50 back. Trevor Stuart earned a first in his 50 free, 50 back and a third in his 100 free. The next meet is on Dec. 10 at Brock followed by SOSSA. Thanks to the parents and grandparents who came out to cheer on our team.

Port High’s SWIM TEAM started the season with a splash at Brock’s Zone 3 Mini Meet. Former PCHS student and swim team member Jamie Milbrandt took time out of his studies at Brock to cheer the Bears on. Michele Gecan claimed first in all of her events, 50 fly,100 fly and 100 back. Haley Morrison placed first in the 50 breast stroke and second in both the 50 free and 50 back. Spencer Comfort placed third in the 50 breast stroke. Trevor Stuart, Chris Richert and Alison Benson all recorded their personal bests.
