Filters Exercise
Task
  • Demostrate knowledge and understanding of the use and purpose of Adobe Elements as well as the appropriate file formats, Layers, Filters, etc.

Steps

  • Download one of the graphics provided on the course website (pic1 - pic6) or another high quality "portrait" image from the Internet.
  • Open the file in Adobe Elements.
  • Duplicate the Background Layer 21 times.
  • Hide all the layers except the layer you are working on and creatively apply a selectively chosen filter to that layer.
  • Rename the Layer to the name of the Filter used.
  • Repeat until all layers except the original background layer has had filters applied.
  • Save this file continually into your M: drive as a PSD file with the file name "Filters"
