Overview

A Successful Leadership and Peer Support experience requires the committed
involvement of each of the following participants. The L&PS program can be
defined through the responsibilities assigned to each segment of the L&PS
program. Before entering the program it is essential that each participant
clearly understand and is fully committed the realization of stated
objectives and attending to/surpassing their individual responsibilities.

Student Responsibilities To have
achieved a minimum 75% average in the academic subject area they are working
in. |

Subject Teacher Responsibilities To
identify acceptance of the Leadership and Peer Support (L&PS) student by
providing signatures on all necessary forms, following a thorough review of
the applicants academic standing and personal suitability. To provide
clearly communicated, significant and appropriately challenging objectives
for the L&PS student in order to develop their leadership and peer support
skills. |

Teacher Responsibilities To ensure
that L&PS student applicants have completed the necessary requisite courses,
have an acceptable grade average, timetable ability as well as subject
teacher and Out of Class Project Supervisor’s approval to enter the L&PS
program for the current semester. |

Short Term Project Supervisor Responsibilities
To identify acceptance of the Leadership and
Peer Support (L&PS) student by providing signatures on all necessary forms,
following a thorough review of the applicants personal suitability. |
