The Leadership and Peer Support class (GPP30) must complete an out of class short term project worth 20% of their final mark. For this semester the LPS students will run an intramural lunch time sports program. After assessing resources, the class feels it is best to run the program for a week and measure it’s success. The target dates for the intramural activities are Monday, May 15^th through Friday, May 19^th. 3A is the only period where the gym is available. The LPS team felt that volleyball ( two nets, four teams, per lunch period) would be the safest and most welcoming activity to run. Teachers are invited to join in also.

LPS students who are promoting the event (John Gordon, Arielle Bush, and Emily Kwade) should have posters, announcements and ‘Friday Show’ commercials running two weeks prior to the event. Promotional activities need to be coordinated with Kyle Beres and Tanya Tokuc who will be posting sign up sheets and creating the teams. Please note that tournament organizers and promotional people will also be required to assist during the week of the intramural games.

( James Paul, Nicole Gough, and Shane Jackson) must identify the roles they are assuming to the LPS Team Leaders and Mr. Domarchuk. ( i.e. coordinate referee’s, have Physical Education Teacher available in case of emergency....) LPS students who are not involved in the lunch time intramural activity must find (with the help of Mr. Domarchuk) a short term project to complete.
