A long tradition of excellence in the music department, Sir Winston Churchill has many extracurricular activities that are fun and enjoyable for both the staff who run them and students.

Mrs. Cegys dedicates her time every Thursday after school from 3:15 to 4:15. If you play the violin, viola, cello, bass, a woodwind or brass instrument and are looking for a fun after school activity then you are encouraged to join the SWC Orchestra in the music room on Thursdays.

The Orchestra runs in two sessions throughout the duration of the school year. Running in first semester from September to December followed by a final concert, usually at the beginning of December. The concert is to showcase the pieces that have been rehearsed. Once the concert is finished there is a break until second semester has begun. In second semester Orchestra runs from February to June and is followed by a final concert as well.
