ANNOUNCEMENTS


THURSDAY, JANUARY 8th , 2009

 

1.          Intra murals! One week of pick up indoor soccer from January 12th - 16th, everyday at lunch. Show up, join a team and play!

             

2.          Any grade 9 or 10 student interested in playing Junior School Reach for the Top are asked to sign up on the Resource door. Do you like trivia and lots of fun? This is for you! Come out and try it.

 

3.          There will be a brief meeting for stage management, lighting and sound as well as construction crew for STUCK today at lunch in the drama room.

 

4.          Ms. Short is DESPERATELY looking for a used cash register for the Sears play. It doesn't have to work, it just has to look good! If you can help her out, please see her in the drama room!

 

5.          STUCK rehearsal schedule for January is posted outside the drama room. Please see Ms. Short immediately if there are conflicts!

 

6.          There will be a shorter-than-normal choir rehearsal after school today in Room 30. Please let Mrs. Robinson know if you can't attend.

 

7.          Attention intra mural hockey players - it is now your turn to sign up your floor hockey team. Sign up sheets and rules can be found on the athletic bulletin board. Please read the rules and sign up your first and last name!

 

8.          The senior boys dominated the Heritage Christian school Tuesday night, beating them 53-37. The top scorers were Tyler Fisher with 19 points, Teagan Waite with 14, Jason McKeen with 11. A very close game until we split it open in the fourth quarter. Way to go guys, 6 and 0.   Good luck next week.

 

9.          Grads...we know you’ve already done this...we know you’ve completed the task! OUAC applications are due next Wednesday, January 14th !!

 

10.        Student Council is looking for a few more students to join them at our Open House on Monday night.

             If you can make it and would like to act as an ambassador for SLHS, please sign up in Guidance.

 

11.        Need community involvement hours? Consider assisting the District School Board of Niagara with their Kindergarten Countdown campaign. See Mrs. Pols in the Guidance Office for more details.

 

12.        Any students traveling to New York City with Ms. Short and Mrs. Robinson must come to pick up an important parent information letter after school TODAY. It's imperative that you take this letter home and return it BY FRIDAY. Letters will be available in the drama room right after school.

 

13.        Teachers, please dismiss members of the ski/snowboarding team at 1:45 p.m. today.
