Description

What: West Park has a very successful Girls and Boys Basketball program which consistently performs well during league play and in local tournaments.

Who: Any student at West Park can try out for the Basketball teams. West Park has both Junior and Senior Girls and Boys Teams.

When: The Girls season is September to November.
The Boys Season is November to March.

Commitment: All athletes must be committed to attend all practices and games. Practices may take place before, during and after school. League games are after school and tournaments usually take place on Fridays and Saturdays.

Competitions: West Park competes in regular season league play, play-offs and possible SOSSA and OFSSA Championships. The teams also compete in a number of tournaments throughout the season.

Goals: Competing in league play-offs and advancing to SOSSA and OFSSA Championships.

Description

Open to all grade 9/10 students.  The team will be competing in Zone 4, division "A".  Students must try out to earn one of 12 spots on the team.  Practices will be starting in October and we will practice every day except for game days.

Season and Important Dates

We will be playing from early December until March.  SOSSA tournament to follow.  We will be competing in a couple of tournaments throughout the season.
