DMI Canada- EDS Canada & Fort Erie Secondary School-DSBN have formed Team 1680 FESStronics which competes in the FIRST robotics league.
The FESStronics team is in its third season and what a great time we have had along the way.
The First year, 2005 “Triple Play,” the team won the Rookie All Star Award and went on to the World Championship to place fifth. GM Canada provided seed money to get the team up and running. FESStronics developed new sponsorships with EDS Canada and Fortis Ontario.
The 2006 season was the year of the triplets. The three Niagara teams took GOLD, GOLD and SILVER at the Canadian Nationals. We came so close to beating our sisters at the HersheyCenter playing “Aim High”. Once again, the team went to the World Championship, placing 41st. The Team was growing in numbers and sponsors, adding EJ Freeland Foundation, DSBN, Canadian Tire Financial Services, The Peace Bridge Authority, and Fort Erie EDTC.
The 2007 season is underway with a brand new game called Rack 'N' Roll. The team has added new members, new mentors and many new sponsors. DMI Canada is a new platinum sponsor,
We also added many new materials sponsors, including Holo Krome Fasteners, Panduit Electrical, KBC Tooling, Samuels Speciality steels, Ideal Tools, Vidmar -Stanley, Hitachi, Reed, Precision Brand, UniTool, Niagara Cutters, AshCity, IronCAD, Henkel, Ryerson Canada, Fasteners & Fittings, Summit Racing. The team also has established some great local manufacturing sponsors: Harber, Aero-Safe Coating, and GlenCo,.
