St. Johns Outdoor Studies Centre
Introduction
This outdoor and environmental Centre is operated by the District School Board of Niagara in the historic community of St. Johns West.
The one-acre property includes a two-room former school and one portable classroom. It is adjacent to the 18,000 acre Short Hills Provincial Park and is a few hundred metres from the St. Johns Valley Centre where the 1804 Common School, the John Street Mill, and the remains of many former structures of the now-vanished village are located.
In addition, the Centre has access to a six-acre woodlot and walking trails in the St. Johns Conservation Area.
