The Education Foundation of Niagara has been established to provide funding for projects designed to enhance learning opportunities, using new and creative approaches for students served by the District School Board of Niagara (DSBN). Funding supports many programs and initiatives provided by DSBN schools in areas of arts & music, innovative practices, literacy and numeracy, healthy lifestyles, environmental studies and technology.

On October 1, EFN held the first ever board-wide DSBN Staff Reunion at Henley Island. Almost 200 retirees gathered together and look forward to next year's function. Click here for the photo gallery.

On July 17, Coldwell Banker Momentum Realty held its annual golf tournament. Held each year, proceeds are dedicated to a local charity for community support. Contact Peggy Rose said, "we are pleased to be able to help in this small way". "Thanks to Linda Kartasinski, whose efforts and enthusiasm helped us to learn about your local initiatives and good work". $950.00 in proceeds were donated to EFN and dedicated to the general fund for areas of poverty relief, breakfast programs and the arts.
Teachers Credit Union sponsors the Make Change for Children Campaign.Just when we thought the Teachers Credit Union was generous enough through sponsoring our EFN Gala and many communications pieces, they donate another $1000 to the Poverty and Emergency Relief Fund, demonstrating the care and concern for the students of Niagara and the teachers who serve them!
