Which School can my child attend?

Each district school board in Ontario administers "attendance areas" for its schools, and generally, children go to the school located in the attendance area in which they live. Parents wanting to send their children to a school outside their normal attendance area must make a request to the DSBN for permission to do so.

What is the procedure to register as an International Student?
|
International Students
There are several steps in the registration process of an International student. First, the student requires an acceptance letter from our School Board. In order to prepare this letter we would require the following information. We would need to know the student’s full name, date of birth, birth country and the Canadian address where the student will be living while attending school in Canada.
Once the letter of acceptance has been prepared the student needs to apply for a study permit valid for the time he/ she is in school.
We also require that the student have Canadian health and medical coverage while in Canada.
The tuition fee for an international elementary student is $ 11,000.00 and for a secondary student it is $ 12,000.00 for the full year and can be paid in two installments, one prior to the start of school in September and one in January.
The student will also be evaluated at the school to determine whether or not they require ESL training.
The school will require the student’s last report card or transcript, birth certificate and immunization records. Also, please be aware that the District School Board of Niagara does not arrange home stay accommodations for the students. This must be arranged by the student’s family.
