Welcome to the DSBN Purchasing & Central Services Department


The Purchasing Department is responsible for coordinating the acquisition of goods and services and ensuring that the Board receives the best value for tax dollars spent.  We are also responsible for the Print Shop, Mailroom, Central Stores and Reception.
Our Mission is to purchase equipment, materials, supplies and services when needed, in the Right Quality, in the Right Quantity, at the Right Price and from the Right Source We strive to encourage open and competitive bidding on the acquisition of all goods and services.

The Board is a member of the Niagara Public Purchasing Committee, which was established in 1978 and includes 52 participating agencies working together to derive the maximum value for each dollar spent through Co-Operation and Professional Purchasing.  We are also members of the Ontario Public Buyers Association.
