Happy New Year and I hope you all had a very enjoyable holiday. Your return from holidays brings us into the home stretch for semester one. The fall was very busy for our entire school community. Midterm reports proved that our students continue to excel academically and our extracurricular sports and club programs have continued their strong tradition. Congratulations go out to our students and coaches for their following sport/club/individual successes in the fall: The A. N. Myer “Courtyard Gang” who took first place in the Niagara Parks, Schools in Bloom Competition, Raymond Fong, Andrew Petheram and Brian Stoner who were the recipients of the Niagara Falls Civic Pride Award, The Junior Girls’ Basketball Team - Zone and S.O.S.S.A.Champions, The Midget Boys’ Cross-Country Team for qualifying for the O.F.S.A.A. Championship, The Boys’ Golf Team for qualifying for the O.F.S.A.A. Championship, Michelle Glavic who qualified for the O.F.S.A.A. Tennis Championship in the spring, Yumna Ahmed, Justin Boutilier, Christopher Clarkstone, Paula Grcevic and Carly As we near the end of the semester, it is time to invite our incoming Grade 8's into our school for an open house. This year’s Grade 8 Open House is scheduled for Thursday, January 17th at 6:00 p.m. I would like to invite all future Marauders to this evening in order to learn more about our school and what to expect when you enter into high school. The staff at A. N. Myer is looking forward to meeting with you that night. To all of our students, I wish you the best on your upcoming exams! |
