On Wednesday afternoon your lady flyers were defeated at the hands of a very strong Ridley team by a score of 5-1 in a very well played game for our first time together as a team.

Nov 20     Eden at McDonalds Tournament

Congratulations to the members of the first team on winning the A division at the 26th annual Mcdonalds Tournament in the Falls Yesterday. We went 3-1 on the day, losing our first game to E.L. Crossley 1-0. After a wake-up call the girls defeated Blessed Trinity 1-0 and then beat St. Paul for the first time in our school history 6-3 to advance to the final and a rematch with Crossley. In the final, your blue shirted heroes won 1-0 on the tournament winner unleashed by Stephanie Wiens in the slot. Other goal scorers on the day were Leigh Vanderveen with 2, Karen Dancy with a pair, Wiens with another, and Kerrie Edwards and Madison Yule with one each. Janessa Hendriks earned her first 2 shutouts of the season. Just a reminder that our regular season opener is on Tuesday next week against Blessed Trinity here at home. Great work ladies.
