Nov. 19 McMaster
Invitational
Tournament
McMaster hosted
a 9 team tournament. In Pool play Eden
defeated West Park 25-16 and 25-15, Clarkson
25-11 and 25-14, but lost a close match to Assumption
25 - 23; 23- 25; and 13 - 15 to finish second in their
pool play. In the semi-finals Eden defeated Loyala 18
-25 and 25 - 16 and 15 to 9 to advance to the finals.
In the finals Eden played Assumption again and lost
20- 25: 25 - 19; and 11 to 15.

Tournament
A.
N. Myer hosted
a 10 team tournament. In Pool play Eden defeated
Westlane 25-11 and 25-23, Crossley 25-6 and 25-14,
Laura Secord 25 - 8; 25- 20;
and Governor Simcoe 25-16 and 25-15 to finish first
in their pool play. In the semi-finals Eden defeated

played West Park and defeated them 25- 15; and 25
- 19 to win the Gold Medal.

4 Eden Invitational
Tournament
Eden hosted
a 15 team tournament. In Pool play Eden 1 defeated
Blessed Trinity 25-10 and 25-8, Waterloo-Oxford 25-8 and
25-9, Notre Dame 25 -18; 25- 18; and Centre Wellington
25-13
and 25-10
to finish first in their pool play. Eden 2 defeated Denis
Morris 25-23 and 25-23, Hamilton Christian 25-23 and 25-19,
Westside 25-20 and 25-20 and than split with Bishop Ryan
25-21 and 22-25 but still finished first in their pool.
In the quarter-finals Eden 2 was defeated by Sir Winston
24-26; 25-17 and 15-17. In the semi-finals Eden 1 defeated
Sir Winston 25 -13 and 25-8 to advance
to the finals. In the finals Eden played a very strong
Notre Dame team from Burlington and were defeated 16- 25
and 27-29 to
finish in second place.

Eden
travelled to Notre Dame in Burlington and took part in a
10 team tournament. In Pool play Eden defeated
St. Jean de Brebeuf 25-10 and 25-23, Robert Bateman 25-14
and 25-12, Holy Trinity 25 - 20; 25- 19; and split with
the second Notre Dame 24-25
and 25-16
to finish first in their pool play. In the finals
Eden played the number one Notre Dame team and
were defeated 23- 25; and 20 - 25 to finish in second
place
and bring
home
the silver medal.

Tournament
Eden
travelled to Jacob Hespler High School in Cambridge and
took part in a
13 team tournament. In Pool play Eden defeated Grand
River 25-19; 25-11 and 25-19, Bluevale 25-9; 25-12 and
25-21, to finish first
in their pool. In the quarter-finals Eden played Huron
Heights and defeated them 25-15 and 25-11. In the semi-finals
Eden played Southwood and defeated them 25-11 and 25-18
to advance to the finals. Here they took on Grand River
from Waterloo and defeated 25- 15; and 25
- 16 to capture the Gold medal.

Eden
travelled to St. Jean de Brebeuf in Woodbridge
and took part in a
9 team tournament. In Pool play Eden defeated St.
Jean De Brebeuf 25-12; and 25-15, Mayfield 25-17;
and 25-22, Pleasant View 25-17; and 25-16, Ursuline College
25-12; and 25-11 to finish first in their pool. In the
semi-finals Eden played Orillia District and defeated
them 25-12 and 25-19 to advance to
the finals. Here they took on Holy Cross from Woodbridge
and defeated 25- 20; and 25
- 18 to capture the Gold medal.

Invitational
Tournament
Eden
travelled to Regiopolis-Notre Dame High School in Kingston
and took part in a
16 team tournament. In Pool play Eden 1 defeated
Lasalle 25-6; and 25-6, Durham Christian 25-11; and 25-16,
Holy Cross from Kingston 25-10; and
25-9 to finish first in their pool. Eden entered a second
team in the tournament. Here Eden 2 defeated Bayridge
25-17; and 26-24; St. Theresa's 25-20 and 25-20;
and split with Regiopolis-Notre Dame 25-17 and 11-25
to finish second in their pool. In the quarter-finals
Eden 1 played Frontenac from Kingston and defeated them
25-20; and 25-8.
Eden 2 defeated Sydenham 24-26; 25-15 and 15-13 to advance
to the semi-finals. Eden 1 took on Regiopolis 2 and defeated
them 25-10 and 25-14 while Eden 2 took on Regiopolis 1
and defeated them 25-20 and 25-10 to advance to the finals.
It was a great final between the two Eden teams with Eden
1 coming out on top with a 25-15 and 25-19 victory to capture
the Gold Medal.

5 Eden
Invitational Tournament
Eden hosted
a 15 team tournament. In Pool play Eden 1 defeated
Confederation 25-11 and 25- 9, Cameron Heights 25- 14
and 25- 10, Guido de Bres 25 - 8; 25- 10; and split with
Westmount 19- 25 and 25-14 to finish first in their pool
play. Eden
2 defeated Heritage 25- 10 and 25- 15, but than lost
to Jacob Hespler 21- 25 and 23-25, Waterdown 11- 25
and 18- 25; Lester B. Pearson 22- 25 and 17- 25 and did
not qualify for the play-offs. In the semi-finals
Eden 1 defeated Waterdown 25-10 and 25-15.
In
the
finals Eden played a very strong
St. Michael's team from Stratford and were defeated
13 - 25 and 12 - 25 to finish in second place.
Feb.
6 Niagara
College Invitational
Tournament
Eden
travelled to Niagara College in Welland and took part in a
12 team tournament. In Pool play Eden defeated Notre
Dame 25-12; 25-8; and 25-7, St. Theresa's from Midland
25-11; 25-8; and than lost 26-28, Confederation 25-13;
25-14; and 25-8 to finish first in their pool.
In the semi-finals Eden played Jean Vanier from Welland
and defeated them 25-16; 22-25; and 15-3 to advance to
the finals. Here Eden took on St. Theresa's and defeated
them 25-10 and
25-15 to capture
the Gold Medal. Hayley Lutz and Kristen Pauls were selected
to the all-star team and Lindsey Baerg was named the MVP
of the tournament.

SOSSA
CHAMPIONSHIP at Denis Morris

Eden
travelled to Denis Morris in St. Catharines and took part
in the
4 team SOSSA Championship. Eden 's first game was
against McKinnon Park and Eden defeated them 25-9
and 25-15. In the semi-finals Eden took on a strong Westmount
team from Hamilton. Eden started off slowly but managed
to win the match 2 games to 1. Scores were 25-22; 22-25;
and than won 15-8 to advance to the finals. In the SOSSA
finals Eden once again took on Westmount and this time
they came out to play and won 2 games to 0. Scores were
25-14 and 25-12 to capture the SOSSA Double A Championship.
