About Gainsborough

Family of Schools

Gainsborough School serves students from Kindergarten to Grade 8, including a Special Needs program. We are one of several area schools which are part of the Mountain Family of Schools. Once our students have completed the Grade 8 program, they usually go on to complete their secondary education at South Lincoln Secondary School. Throughout the Grade 7 and 8 year, our students are invited to attend several events sponsored by the South Lincoln Family which help them to make a successful transition. Intention sheets, with course selections, are submitted in late January or early February following the secondary school open house evenings.
