EQAO  IMPROVEMENT PLAN

As part of our dedication to the continuous improvement of all students,  the Staff at  Grapeview  School  is involved on an on-going basis in the development of a plan to improve Primary and Junior results in the Provincial Testing.  This plan is shared with the community yearly .  As a result,  teachers look at areas that may need addressing if a weakness results.  It is also a time to look at the strengths of our students in order that we study strategies that led to the success of our students.  Staff will further examine their own professional growth aimed at an improved curriculum delivery.

Assessing Student Progress at Grapeview

Provincial Testing is one way in which we assess our students.  The EQAO conducted a provincial review of Reading,  Writing and Mathematics in Grades 3 and 6 in May of 2008.  The purpose of the assessment was to provide information on student achievement to parents,  schools,  boards and the province.  Students were assigned a score between level 1 and 4.  Students performing at levels 3 and 4 meet the provincial expectations.  Detailed information about this assessment is available at the school.  Our Grades 3 and 6 pupils completed the tests in May, 2008.  Results have been released by EQAO.  Below are the results from this past year and include all participating students (exempted students not included).
