PRESENTATION TIPS
- Be prepared. Know your topic so you can avoid reading everything
from notes. Prepare speaker's notes if you don't know your topic
well enough to speak without them.
- Rehearse your presentation in
front of friends or family or just with you and your partner.
- Be sure there are no spelling errors in your slide show.
- Have a clear voice and project your voice so entire class
can hear (be don't shout).
- Don't speak too quickly. If you think you're
speaking too slowly you're probably speaking at a good pace.
- Avoided awkward pauses, slang and “um’s”.
Take a breath instead of saying um.
- Make eye contact with all areas of your audience.
- Appear confident (even if you are nervous).
- Do NOT chew gum.
