GLOBAL LETTERHEAD


 

1.         Set your top margin to .5" and your left and right margins to 1.25".

 

2.         Create the letterhead shown below. Save as global letterhead.  Do NOT take up more than 2 inches from the top of the page for the entire letterehead.

 

3.         Set the company name to Benguiat Bk BT, 18 point size, bold and blue. The address is Times New Roman 12 point, bold. Select the text and Alt F7 to right justify it.

 

4.         a.         To find the graphic use Insert Menu > Graphics > From File > go to the K: drive and find the graphic in the communications folder.  Pick a different, appropriate graphic if you like.

 

            b.         Set no wrap for the graphic (right-click on it > wrap > “in front of text”)


NOTE:

If you have trouble selecting a graphic box by clicking on it try to Right-click on it > Select Box.


The "no wrap" choice is a handy one whenever you don’t want a graphic to interfere with the alignment of your text.


5.         The double line shown is just one line -- Insert Menu > Line > Horizontal Line > double-click on the line to edit > line style > double. To thicken the line select it then drag down the middle handle (the small black box on the line).

 

6.         Any letterhead should not to take up more than 2 inches from the top of the page–check yours and adjust if needed.

 

7.         Hand in info > pre-print checklist > final save > close the file.
