Sir Winston Reads

This assignment allows you to use your creative skills and your recent computer skills to make a bookmark! Businesses use various marketing tools (like bookmarks) to promote their events, products or services. For example, Chapters Bookstore uses bookmarks all the time to promote their online services and upcoming events!

1. Create a bookmark for Sir Winston Reads.  Save the file as bookmark.
    

2. Start out by coming up with a catchy slogan.
    

3. The bookmark is to have a front and a back, so create 2 textboxes that are each approximately 2 inches by 6 inches (5 cm by 16 cm).  A bit smaller or larger would be fine.  Suggestion:  Make one text box then copy/paste it so the 2nd is the same size.
    

4. Include the following:

   • a front and a back, so the bookmark is 2-sided.

   • a slogan

   • an aesthetically pleasing layout (Does it look crowded? Is it easy to read?)

   • you can also use TextArt to make fun titles!
      

5. After you print your file, cut out each bookmark then glue or tape them together.
