Download to your M: drive
this file called
enumeration.wpd. Open the file
from your M: drive and make these changes.
-
Set your left and
right margins
to 4 cm (1.75").
-
Move the numbered items so
that they are in order.
-
Add the title: Formatting Enumerations (in proper format, of course).
-
Delete the numbers and
bracket found at the start of each item (be sure you have moved them first as
per step #2)
- Number the items by
selecting the lines, then click on the numbering tool and choose the desired
numbering format (number with a period after it).
-
Add an extra enter after each item so that the items
are single-spaced and
double-spaced between. There should be one blank line after each item.
-
Set the font for the entire document to
Arial 10 point. Now change the title to bold and 14 point.
NOTE: When selecting the title to make
the font larger, be sure not to select any blank lines under it, otherwise it'll
make the blank lines after your title larger and there will be too big a gap.
-
Centre the document vertically, i.e. top
to bottom on the page. To do this--
-
Be sure you don't have extra enters at the
end of your text (Ctrl End should take you only one line under your text).
If not, delete extra Enters.
- Ctrl Home to the top of your document.
- Format Menu > Page > Center > Current Page.
-
The document gives the rules for setting up
enumerations. Read it.
-
Spellcheck and
visually proofread. WARNING: I have
intentionally made errors to see if you are checking carefully!!!!
