PARKS

Formatting information in columns has always been a complicated task.
Now it is very easy to do;  just set up columns in a table then set all lines to "none" so they aren't printed.
  1. Key the title shown below then enter 2 times.  Normally you'd enter 3 times after a title but with a table enter 2 times.  Save the file as parks.

  2. Create a table that is 3 columns by 2 rows.  Enter the column headings in the first row and the rest of the info in the second row so that the list of parks is single spaced.

HINT:    Use your number pad to speed it up the keying of numbers (be sure Num Lock is on first)!

  3. Centre the numbers and keep all other info in the table left aligned.

  4. Make column widths reasonable (fit the data with a bit of space).

  5. Centre the document vertically (Ctrl home to the top > format menu > page > center > current page)

  6. Centre the table across (horizontally) -- right-click in table > format > table tab > table position on page = center.

  7. Set all lines to "none" so that they are just guidelines and won't print -- right-click in the table > borders/fill > table tab > Line Style = X (for none).

  8. Add a page border (format menu > page > borders/fill)
