SONG
- Search online for the lyrics to your favourite song (nothing
inappropriate) or make up a poem/song.
- Paste the lyrics or key the poem. In order not to get all the yukkie
internet coding when you paste the text into WordPerfect do -- Edit Menu >
Paste Special > Unformatted Text.
- Under the song title include the singer/poet’s name. If you found
the lyrics online include the web address as another subtitle to acknowledge
your source.
- Make the text fit on one page. Delete some of the song verses if you
need to.
- Set fonts to what you want; make the font larger if it looks good; add
text colour.
- Block center the text as follows:
- After you have keyed the text and set the font sizes, select the lines of
the song (not the titles) and press F7 till it looks approximately centered
across the page.
- Using other techniques you have learned, set up the song/poem in an attractive manner. Think
about graphics, lines, fills, page borders, font colour etc.
- As always: hand-in info > pre-print checklist > final save > close.
