SUN OR MOON

Design Situation:
What does the sun or mean to you, other than a ball of fire that keeps us warm?  Design a new sun or moon, one that reflects what the sun means to you.

Review this information on the design process then follow its 3 steps as follows:

• Concept
  • brainstorm a list of words and phrases about what the sun (or moon) means to you.  Write them down. Put a star beside those ideas you will use in the next step of the design process--Form.

• Form
  • on paper, draw 5 thumbnail sketches/rough drawings of your sun (or moon), showing variations in your design.

  • choose the best of your rough drawings and make a computerized copy of it in Corel Draw.

• Content
  • Below your design key a of how your design satisfies the concept.  What does the sun/moon mean to you and how does your design show that?
