SIR WINSTON'S VIDEO CAMERAS
We have 7 cameras, 2 different types:
Panasonic CCD
Mini DV -- small tape
10 hour battery > to check battery level must turn camera on.
Turn camera off when taking the battery out
IR Filter (infrared filter) is for night taping so if taping looks green it is probably on--turn it off (on top of camera)
To Record
take lens cover off
turn power on
turn control to picture of Red Camcorder, NOT picture of Red Camera (this is to take stills).
LCD screen - Flips out. Takes a lot of battery so if battery low don't use it
Red button to record (be sure see REC on screen)
Red button again to pause
Zoom Control
To View what you've done turn control wheel to VCR then use
controls on left side of camera to rewind, etc.
Sony Handycam (Note: Camera #1 LCD Screen is broken)
take lens cover off
insert tape--turn camera over to insert tape > pull open and wait till "elevator" comes up > insert tape then squeeze and be patient and let elevator go down by itself, don't force it, don't push down where it says "Don't Push Down".
check battery level--with power off open LCD Screen > Click on Display Battery Button (on left side)
to rewind, fast forward, view tape -- Slide power button on top to turn it on > Turn Mode Wheel to button with Green Arrow to Play > Push mode wheel to left to rewind, to right to fast forward, up to play, down to stop. Up to play then left or right to rewind or fast forward while viewing.
To record - turn mode wheel to Record
To view--turn mode wheel power button so Play/Edit light is on -- pull out the view screen to use the view controls (rewind etc)
****Only Cameras #2 and 5 work for downloading footage to Macs, others are broken.

Sony
must charge in camera
to check battery level, keep cameral power
off, open lens on side, press Display/Battery Info button on side.
Panasonic Charger
no light on charger means batter fully
charged (green light means still charging)
Big Panasonic Charger
guage on charge flashes % of charge
