Women's Networking Dinner
Event Description
Have you ever thought about a career in the skilled trades and technologies? Would you like to meet inspiring women from your community who have found exciting and rewarding careers in a field they love?
The "Skills Work!® for Women" Networking Dinner is an eye-opening experience where female students in grades 9-12 can network with female mentors currently working or training in skilled trades and technology careers and:
- Investigate a variety of interesting
career paths
- Hear inspiring stories from dynamic
guest speakers
- Network informally with mentors while
enjoying a great diner
Skills CanadaOntario is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to promoting the skilled trades & technologies to youth from across the province.
For eight consecutive years, Skills CanadaOntario has been offering the "Skills Work!® for Women" Networking Dinners, an award-winning program which is designed to introduce young women in high school, who are interested in the skilled trades and technologies, to female mentors who are currently working or studying in a related career field.
"Skills Work!® for Women" Networking Dinners foster a positive environment in which young women have the opportunity to hear several speakers talk about their journey and the rewards of their chosen career path. Mentors provide advice, guidance and inspiration by sharing their experiences and answering questions.
